Welcome Letter
Dear one,
Welcome to The Listening Voice.
By stepping into this space, you are entering not only a company, but a field — a living practice of voice, listening, and service. Our work is more than programs, trainings, or retreats; it is a way of meeting life through the voice as a bridge between body, heart, and spirit.
You are now part of a growing circle of people dedicated to remembering that true leadership begins with listening, that service can be both powerful and surrendered, and that the voice is not just a tool for expression, but a pathway into wholeness.
Each person who joins The Listening Voice carries a piece of this vision. You bring your own gifts, your own rhythm, your own resonance. Together we weave them into something larger than ourselves — a revolution of listening that has the power to ripple through culture, community, and the world.
Thank you for bringing your presence here. May this work nourish you as much as it nourishes those you serve.
With warmth,
Katya Barton
Founder & Director, The Listening Voice
Vision & Story
The Listening Voice was born from a longing: to create a space where the voice could be liberated from performance, judgment, and fear — and remembered as a living, embodied force of connection.
For years, I (Katya) carried the question: What would happen if our voices were no longer shaped by survival, but by trust?
This question became a practice, and this practice became a method — a way of working with voice, body, and listening that opens new pathways for presence, authenticity, and service.
From small beginnings, The Listening Voice has grown into a company, a community, and a movement. Our work now serves women in leadership, healing, and service professions; facilitators who long to guide from coherence rather than control; and communities who hunger for spaces of deep listening and authentic expression.
Our vision is simple, yet radical:
To restore the voice as an instrument of truth, healing, and coherence.
To embody leadership that is rooted in listening, rather than domination.
To weave community where voices are honored, differences are embraced, and silence is valued as much as sound.
We call this a Listening Revolution — one that begins in the body, travels through the voice, and expands outward into the way we relate, create, and lead.
Our Values & Culture
At The Listening Voice, we don’t just work together — we create a field together. Our culture is woven from shared values that guide the way we listen, speak, decide, and create.
✨ Core Values
Listening before speaking
We pause, sense, and attune. Listening is not passive — it is an act of leadership, of creating space for what wants to emerge.Trust & coherence
We hold ourselves and each other with clarity and consistency, tending to nervous system regulation, alignment, and the integrity of the work.Embodied expression
We honor the voice as a whole-body practice, rooted in presence, breath, and truth.Surrendered leadership
We lead from service, not from control. We follow what arises, trusting the intelligence of the group field and the body’s wisdom.Authenticity
We bring our real voices, our honest experiences, our full selves — not polished masks.Community & care
We are in this together. Each person’s voice matters. We create spaces of respect, consent, and deep care for one another.
🌿 How We Show Up Together
We arrive present — giving ourselves time to land before meetings, sessions, or retreats.
We speak truthfully — naming what is real, even when it feels vulnerable.
We listen generously — not rushing to respond, but allowing silence and resonance.
We honor rhythms — cycles of energy, rest, creation, and pause.
We celebrate — victories, small or large, are named and shared.
We take responsibility — for our actions, words, and impact on the field.
We tend conflicts with care — leaning into repair and curiosity, rather than avoidance or blame.
This culture is not something we just write on paper — it is something we practice, moment by moment, voice by voice. By entering The Listening Voice, you are invited to embody these values in your work, your collaborations, and your own voice journey.

We honor cycles of rest and creation — downtime is as valued as output.
If unavailable, communicate early and clearly.
Silence is not absence: sometimes listening is the work.

Community Agreements
We hold ourselves to a set of simple, living agreements:
Confidentiality: What is shared in the circle stays in the circle.
Consent: We ask before offering touch, guidance, or feedback.
Care: We tend to ourselves and others with respect and compassion.
Accountability: When ruptures occur, we commit to repair.
Listening: We allow space before response, honoring silence.
Celebration: We acknowledge each voice and contribution.
These agreements are not rules but practices. They invite us to keep tuning our instruments — our bodies, our voices, our relationships.

Facilitation Training: Pathways to becoming a certified Listening Voice facilitator.

Growth & Development
At The Listening Voice, we see growth as both personal and collective. Each person who joins carries a unique path, yet all of us are held within the rhythm of the field.
Pathways of Growth
Personal Journey – Every team member is encouraged to engage with the Listening Voice as a living practice. This begins with either:
• The Initiation / 1:1 Process (deep personal journey with the method)
• Or the Foundations Training (a group-based immersion in the principles and practices)
These ensure that you are rooted in the essence of the work before stepping further into service.Facilitation Training – Once grounded in your own voice journey, you may choose to train as a Listening Voice Facilitator. This is not only a skill training but a deep initiation into surrendered leadership, nervous system coherence, and embodied voicework.
Advanced Pathways – As the field grows, possibilities include:
• Becoming a lead facilitator for retreats, trainings, or community groups
• Developing creative collaborations (music, storytelling, art, research)
• Holding leadership roles within the company and community
• Contributing to the expansion of the Listening Revolution through new projects, offerings, or partnerships
Boundaries of Growth
To hold this work for others, you must first have walked it yourself. That is why the Initiation/Foundations is the starting place.
The role of facilitator or leader cannot be self-claimed; it is entered by readiness, mutual recognition, and alignment with the field.
Growth happens in rhythm — we honor pacing, cycles of rest, and readiness. No one is rushed, and no one is left behind.
Our Commitment to You
We will support your growth with opportunities for mentorship, reflection, and practice.
We will honor your individual path, while also protecting the integrity of the field.
We will celebrate your voice and the unique gifts you bring, while ensuring the method remains rooted in coherence and listening.
Growth here is not just about roles or titles — it is about deepening into authenticity, presence, and service.
